Tim Penland has been an artist for more than 50 years. His primary medium is graphite but he also works in acrylics, watercolors and pastels.

Tim Penland has been an artist for more than 50 years and has an Associates Degree in Mechanical Drafting. His primary medium is graphite but he also works in acrylics, watercolors and pastels.

Tim has shown artwork in galleries in Estes Park, Longmont, Boulder, Allenspark, Manitou Springs, Canon City, Buena Vista, Cripple Creek, and Victor, Colorado. He also has artwork in the Cheyenne Railroad Museum and the Cripple Creek Museum.

Tim’s other passion is model railroading and he has a diorama of the Cripple Creek and Victor Mining District displayed on the lower level of the Cripple Creek Heritage Center.

Tim moved to Colorado in 1977 from Kansas City. He’s retired from the Boulder Post Office, where he worked for 30 years. He and his wife Sheri moved to Florissant, Colorado in 2004.
