Rita Cirillo
I began painting with serious intent in 1998, studying at Cottonwood Art Academy in Colorado Springs and learning from skilled and great artists, such as Dan Beck, Skip Whitcomb, Kim English, Lorenzo Chavez, Jay Moore and many others.
Through the years I’ve won numerous awards and been a member of several art leagues, organizations and galleries.
After over 25 years of creating art, I decided to take some time off to ponder my navel and possibly find a new direction in art and writing. Later this year, I will be publishing a series of instructional books for the beginning artists, tentatively titled “Oil Painting: A Quick and Simple Guide to Learning the Basics.”
You can see my mural work at The Brass Ass Casino and the Cripple Creek Heritage Center, both in Cripple Creek, Colorado.
I am represented by The Rice Gallery of Fine Art, Overland Park, KS; Framed Image Fine Art, Denver, CO; Victor Gold Camp Art Co-op, Victor, CO; Twin Flames Gallery, Victor, CO and online at www.ritacirillo.com. Read about my art adventures on my blog.
